No such thing as NO Maintenance……

9 out of 10 times, my clients request LOW Maintenance….or NO Maintenance. So I do my best to cater to what the client wants, but I will say that No Maintenance really does not exist. I can compromise by creating sustainability in your landscape. It’s all about the soil. By amending your existing soils and creating balance, I can offer a more sustainable landscape that works with the environment and requires minimal and manageable maintenance. After the soil is balanced, it’s time to dig in…literally! After all, who doesn’t long for beautiful gardens that attract all kinds of wildlife, gives back to you in forms of herbs, edibles, amazing fragrance, textures or colors, and require very little maintenance?

Leyendecker Landscape can help you get there :)

A Garden, Even In January.

This is a example of a Houston garden that produces even in the month of January, thus proving there is no reason why anyone can’t have organic produce all year round. Check out what this garden offers.

Spring will be here before you know it. Now is the right time to start planning your garden or landscape. Feel free to call me if you need a consultation.

Home Grown!

Fall and Winter Harvest

Edible Gardens are becoming more and more popular. In addition to having all the wonderful Farmers Markets available to the consumer, we can take it a step further and grow some of our own herbs and veggies.
Not only is it fun for the whole family, it is also easy to do. A great option for some of you foodies out there.

Fall and Winter gardens are some of my favorite gardens. Reason being; they are not just wonderfully decorative in the landscape, but they offer some of my most craved veggie varieties.
Kale seems to be a hot item these last few years. It is great in salads and soups.
Other good choices are: Arugula and many lettuces, Cabbage, Carrots, Parsnips, Greens such as Collards or Mustard, Broccoli, Swiss Chard, Radish, not to mention many kinds of Citrus just to name a few. So keep supporting your local farmers, but at the same time, have some fun and try growing something in your own front or back yard. Spring is right around the corner,
if you are not sure how or need some guidance, just give me a call.
Happy New Year!
